I don't know if I'd go that far, but I would put marriage in the same category as other risk taking behaviour. The thing is, with MGTOW and TRP, at least men are starting to understand that it is a risk. I ride a motorcycle, and I know it's riskier than a car. It'd be far more dangerous though to ride it believing it's as safe as a car.

Some guys view life without women and children as pointless. As if it's actually painful for them to never have one around. These guys are deluded of course and a product of our hyper-feminist government and culture.

Historically it's been fine for men to go off the grid to never settle down. JJ Cale's The breeze didn't gain popularity for no good reason. We can go back even further than that but no point. Men are not genetically wired to keep a woman around.

^ not really. I'm 36 and am only like 3 years after wanting to marry this one woman, I would have given my left nut for it. That's the power they have over us. So no, I don't think they're insane, they're just unlucky in that they haven't woken up before unfortunately getting married.

Marriage is broken, the largest reason of all being it is no longer "til death do us part". Second largest, the fact the government has anything to do with it.

Marriage used to be a lifelong commitment and everyone fully understood that. In religious marriage, you make those vows and follow them "until death" and divorce may have been allowed, but was seriously looked down upon.

Nowadays, marriage has lost its longevity, divorce is normalized and one sided. It's lost its meaning and I can't ever see myself getting married in this climate today. I believe that two people who truly love each other have no reason to get married. There's no reason to aside from some tax benefits and legal rights, and it's possible to get those rights through other means. And if two people truly love each other, I don't see why they would need this archaic and broken ritual to actually prove that to each other...
