There aren't any. Even if you don't lose all you money, or you still get to see you kids 50% of the time. Your wife still betrayed you on a very fundamental level. It shakes your belief in human nature.

I know of plenty of stories of men who were able to rise from divorce - happier, more successful, with better relationships with their kids, maybe with a hot new girlfriend. These men will talk about how they're happier now, and it was a growth experience. But the cost is too great.

Went through one lawyer, didn't fight about splitting anything. Reasonable child support, not through the state, set up agreement with lawyer to put funds in a bank account every 2 weeks. This way the government doesn't get their cut and I have a record of every payment. No alimony.

Because of this there wasn't some stupid battle wasting time and money and we actually work well on custody, and work around each other's vacations and stuff so we get our own time too. Probably in the 1% of best divorce outcomes.

Will I ever get married again though? After learning about the red pill and mgtow, no. If I escaped relatively unscathed and that's the exception rather than the norm, no thanks. I still lost half my 401k and my focus is having a decent retirement. I will not risk my own well being ever again for a woman, I'd rather be alone. I've been with another woman for a couple years but I've been clear I won't marry. If she pushes it too hard I have no problem walking away.

My ex got nothing from me in the divorce. She is an education prof, and was planning to go on her sabbatical trip.

I had already moved out, and we had discussed divorce a lot, but she was sure that I would not file.

Surprised her when I filed days before her big trip to Africa and Europe. She accepted my terms, hired a lawyer to sign for her, then left. Easiest divorce I ever heard of. The court approved it in a month.

She still texts me every few months, and when I change my FB status to Single. Recently I changed it to Widowed just to fuck with her.

Depends on what qualifies as a "GOOD" divorce. When I said "I do" I meant "'till death do us part" What I found out 16 years later, when SHE said it, it actually meant "until something better comes along" BTW, I waited to marry at 29. I hoped I wouldn't regret the decision. My 3 kids (all grown) are the ONLY reason I have no regret. Other than that, MGTOW.

I got away from the evil cunt and have a way better life now. I was financially raped but I'd have given away every earthly possession to be free of her. She literally went after every penny she could. I call it a GOOD divorce story because I never have to see her or speak to her again.

Depends on your definition and perspective of "good" and "completely screwed." I used to wake up and see my 3.5 year old daughter every morning and day. Now I see her 50% of the time. Monetarily, my wife feels some measure of guilt for divorcing me so she isn't touching my 401k and is only taking about 25% of the equity in our home when she could easily take 50%. I guess it's a good outcome in comparison to others in my situation. However getting fucked over less than you could have been still doesn't make you feel like much of a winner

Everyone will have a different perspective on what entails good versus bad. I don't feel like typing out the whole story so I'll cut to the chase. I fought for and won custody of my two daughters. Not only did I do this, but I won it in fucking UTAH from North Carolina. Cooh cooh, right? Cost me 35k. I had to cash out one of my retirements funds that would've been worth ~200k right now and most likely ~650k when I'm 65-69 yo.

So. She really cost me $650k because she was a stupid moron.

The ROI on raising kids? It was a negative investment in the sense she didn't pay child support, I paid for everything, and the kids never got to where I wanted them to go because of their mother's influence. It was a constant mixture of neglect and undermining my positive influence over them. If I had to do it over again I'd probably go MGTOW with a series of short-term relationships. Having been there and done that I don't really see the point, and everything was to my detriment. Even if you 'luck out' and make some great kids how much do you really interact with them? Is it really, literally, worth millions to you (if you're investing the money otherwise spent on others) to have a leach of a wife, and frankly disappointing kids?

I wouldn't do it over again.
