Pay scale is pretty good in the U.S. (depending on the job) when compared to some places - it's just that Americans are too materialistic by far. I'm sure that by changing the "let us keep up with the neighbors" mentality would lead to less debt and a more enjoyable life.

Because I had low self esteem and thought I needed someone to walk with me through life. Clearly I was delusional to think that I had to be married, that a woman would ever be someone who could be a supportive companion and that I should have addressed my mental health issues a long time ago.
Anyway, it's all done and dusted now. My self esteem is healthy and I no longer feel the need to be married. But, I do have three kids who will go on to make the world a better place I hope. They know my journey and I have taught them as much as I can so far. By the grace of the gods the journey continues.
