To be honest, I don't know. That needs more research. But the y-axis is always normalized to 100 with respect to the maximum number of searches.

The only clue is that it doesn't jerk up and down to 0 a lot which implies plenty of stable searches.
You can compare it to other trends.
Redpill has taken a big upward spike from april 2017 onwards.
