Personality type tests. Do they have validity in MGTOW?

It's sort of a horoscope and should not be taken seriously although it's fun to try. About a year ago I was recommended to do it by my psychology teacher and got INTJ-T as a result, re-tried the test recently and it's still the same. INTJ's are believed to enjoy solitude and are compatible with the idea of MGTOW.

I did that twice with about 7 years in between. Kinda interesting to see how my letters shifted over time.

To be honest, I believe that the big-5 model is superior to the Myers Brigg thing.

That said, keeping in mind either set of traits in mind when you interact with people can be skillful.

One of the biggest errors people make is to assume everyone thinks the way they do. This is closely related to projection, where we impute our own motives to others.

Once you realize that everyone is on their own trip and that their trip is not your trip, you can begin to handle them in a much more effective manner.

Extroverts do not want to be left alone, do not enjoy silence; introverts do (although they often enjoy high quality one-on-one interaction.) This could inform your interactions, help you understand why someone might be "pestering" or "ignoring" you.

People high in conscientiousness value finishing tasks, doing the best job possible; people low in it see those as a waste of time and energy. One would interact with, and (as a boss) motivate the two types very differently.

Judging people prefer decisiveness, while Perceiving types prefer to stay open and not over commit. Knowing which you are dealing with will help you make a case for taking action or letting events unwind first.

IMHO the benefit of models like these (or the Expressive/Analytical/Driver/Amiable sales model, or any other personality taxonomy) is to help you get used to looking clearly at thought styles which are not your own.

Once you grok that someone doesn't think the way you think, you can be MUCH more effective in dealing with them.

In MGTOW, our enemies are gynocentrism, female nature, anti-male laws, white-knights and simps.
If you want to know yourself, tests like this can help but ultimately you need to engage in some self-introspection if you want to understand yourself including your strengths, weaknesses and quirks.

They either have validity (in reality) or not. Big 5 has a good test-retest reliability, MBTI doesn't. Neither tells you anything you didn't already know

no, personality tests mean absolutely nothing. your personality isnt a static thing and if your being honest with yourself then your answers for those questions would change depending on your mood. myers briggs is popular because people want the world to know that they are introverted by placing their test results in their bio. people just want other people to think that they dont care about what other people think about them. they want to be seen as creative, independent, and unaltered by other people's opinions. this why 90% of the people that post their results classify as introverts. i wouldn't take it too seriously lol.. edit: youre
