TRP is just a bridge to MGTOW. Some may fall off the bridge and die in the fires below, and some make it peacefully across. Some need to be burned a few times to realize the truth and some are too scared to make the leap.

Be thankful you've arrived at the other side. Each individual needs to make the journey on their own, you can't force anyone into knowing better. You can only drop some clues and hope they're wise enough to pick up on it. Forcing people will only make them turn around and run the other way harder.

Something always felt off about TRP for me. I got pretty good, but felt like the hamster on the wheel having to do the same old routine and while I gave off the vibe of NGAF, I was still "calibrating" to female reactions.

Then MGTOW came and completely destroyed any type of frame holding. I'll purposely break frame for my own amusement or ignore women as I see fit. THIS is real NGAF and freedom.

MGTOW is simply a deeper meta-level in the mind that TRP cannot see unless he awakens.

I stopped following the PUA scene years ago. But from what I've read offhand:

David Deangelo got married
Tyler Durden is paying child support
Mystery is paying child support and lost custody of his kids
Gunwitch went to jail for shooting a girl in the face
Style is no longer PUA, and is probably closer to MGTOW. (edit: the guy got married)

This might be one of the most poignant outlooks of TRP I've seen...cuz it mirrors my own. I found TRP a May of last year, right after my birthday. I'd turned 36, was at the time 3 years removed from a 7 year marriage, and looking for "something". I got to reading the sidebar, looked up literature, and swallowed the pill. And what I picked up from TRP worked...it definitely did. However...there was something missing. The singular focus there is getting pussy. Getting pussy however...is the by product of building yourself into a man who women are compelled to drop the panties for. To that end, TRP seem superficial in it's focus. After a while, it became clear to me that it wasn't for me.

So...I unsubbed, and made my way here. Seems like more like minded men post here, as opposed to the boys just looking to get their willies wet.

I tend to prefer MGTOW over trp, largely because I have no ability or desire to really do what they describe there.

I will look at an hb8+ and want to F as much as the next straight dude, but was never really sure how to get there... I don't lift or make 6 figures, don't talk a big game and am a really nice guy...all the stink of death... so I ignored it best I could.

Found MGTOW in my travels and more and more it allows me to not feel guilty and enjoy waking up every day and do exactly what I want to do. Maybe I will sit in my underwear and play a new video game. Maybe I will hike with friends. Maybe I will snooze till 10. Maybe I won't take out the garbage...

Sure I dream of the special snowflake...the wonderful someone who is a beautiful girl that would not only tolerate but actually encourage all of these things and never be a bitch. But... I'm sure wherever she is right now, she is literally riding a unicorn.

The ideas represented here largely reflect and justify my living life for me, and not requesting that I man up.

My only problem with TRP is that it gives men a false sense of security. The people there seem to be the type of people who will always assume that statistics do not apply to them. They will smoke, not wear a seatbelt, buy lottery tickets, and get married. It's always "other people" who experience misfortune. Is there a name for that type of thinking? Is exceptionalism a word?

The people in MGTOW seem to be the opposite. The people here assume the worst at all times. A fairly large percentage of the community is fanatical about working hard, making money, saving, and retiring early. This is an extremely conservative and cautious mindset.

Having been reading TRP for some time now, I can say this is not the case at all. Your understanding of TRP is very mistaken - and your understanding of MGTOWs, too, I think. You oversimplified a much, much broader set of philosophies in both cases which overlap a lot.

The PUA lifestyle, if a man chooses that too, does of course require him to be smart about it - a foolish man gambles with getting a woman pregnant and isn't consistently careful. However, MGTOW doesn't mean you have to swear off sex with women forever, so the same applies there, too. You could possibly fall back into the "she's different" fog there as well!

Not getting married is a common baseline belief in trp & warnings are made in both, except that TRP covers some beliefs if you do decide for a LTR/marriage. However, the red pill world warns men of the terrible risks involved. I see it repeatedly said time and time again.

The pua world is less inclined to get "oneitis" with a woman because abundance mentality lets you take women off of the pedestal as well as letting you see - after much experience - that women aren't nearly as magical as we see them as when we're blue pill. They lose their value in your eyes, as they should! Not much different than here at all.

I would not say a "ton" of púas settle down / etc, but it has little to do with that and more to do with how a man eventually gets tired of the chase and wants a more simple, fulfilling life. An excellent example is Roosh V and other men as well have written about the changes they went through. However, Roosh for example knows western women aren't marriage or ltr material, and is with women abroad rather than foolishly risking it here.

Yes, this is very true, and I speak from personal experience - I got lucky and walked away unharmed so I'm extremely grateful. My brother fucked up repeatedly and will likely never dig out of the hole hes in thanks to child support and ex wives who are unreliable, divorce-prone, and just not good.

Whether you're TRP or MGTOW is not the point, it's maKing sure not to revert back to falling for the inner motivation or feelings that would have us risk our future by making a foolish decision. It's an internal battle we have to fight, I believe.

Rather than criticize TRP - which does a tremendous job (although it's not perfect by any means) of helping men, both groups need to be diligent about getting the warnings about avoiding marriage and pregnancy, etc.

Side note: I hope one day to see MGTOW billboards warning men to avoid marriage, and post stats about divorce etc in the USA. Or maybe case examples of men who's lives were ruined by it. I imagine the media /feminist reactions would be VERY entertaining!

I'd say that most guys here at this point recognize this.

I'm MGTOW and I fucking love women. I love having a good time with women, good emotions, good feelings. I love having sex.

The issue is that it's all 100% on my terms only. I don't care what women think of me. I don't care how they view me in comparison to others. I don't seek out my interactions with women through gynocentric modalities. I know what I want and I know how to get it.

I just don't want to deal with any of the bullshit. My life isn't built around fitting a mold, placating and kowtowing to women. I don't waste time thinking about women except when I want to. I don't want marriage, I don't want bitchiness, I don't want complaining.

To my knowledge, no they don't. Most are 20-somethings (and some 30-somethings) who've never been married before and are dead-set against co-habitating, marrying, having kids. If anything, what you're describing falls outside the gender red pill entirely; a blue pill man is likely to be conned into something like that.

There are many reasons to go MGTOW, but being paranoid of having an "oops" baby shouldn't be one of them. The notion that one should fear having sex because it could result in child support seems like one of those extreme rationalizations which we don't need to justify going our own way.
