I think this is true, to a degree, although honestly I think like 5 or fewer partners, depending on how old you are at that point is not bad, its the CASUAL aspect which is truly damning, and from his statement its because you are fundamentally treating yourself as casual at the same time.

I found his stance that monogamy is better morally even for the man who can be insanely attractive to women, AKA super-chad with 100 plus or whatever partners, both for personal psychological reasons/"not corrupting soul" but also from a wider social responsibility standpoint. Essentially the only way to avoid the societal collapse which can occur... which is sort of part of MGTOW here.... is caused by the distribution of mating "chances" that occurs in humans, where females have an abundance of choice and males have almost none, leading to very few males having, essentially, all of the mating chances. - this leads to social instability, and I think peterson attacks this on every front justifiable by science and reason without falling back simply on tradiition.

It is, I think, this point alone which makes him in large part an "ally" of sorts to MGTOW; the social ills which befall many posters here and which get bemoaned (The general shitty-ness of women) largely being caused by that mating distribution, where they think/fee/act/DO have essentially their pick in terms of mating with literally now zero consequence and zero limitations on availability, thanks to the combination of birth control and the internet/telecommunications, a somewhat uneasy balance between our animal nature and social stability that was in the past mediated by social pressures health concerns and pregnancy have seen all of those barriers fall away and the "sexual market" returning to its most basic fundamentals is.... not good.

I don't need Peterson to tell me that, just personal experience and some observation skills.

Of course having perpetually changing sex-partners will ruin a persons attachment capabilities. When a person is using people as a means for instant gratification and disposable toys, then how is this person supposed to learn how to care about a "significant others" needs and wishes?

And once a woman is done riding the cock carousel, she will be too old to learn new tricks, she will still at least subconsciously, try to get the same instant gratification.

In former times, marriages used to work (to an extent), because woman back then were of a different breed. Society was not revolving around them exclusively and they had learned that you have to work in order to get what you want or to make a marriage work.

I am a nurse on a cancer ward and whenever I see a woman actually caring for her husband, being there every day or even doing things like changing his stoma bag, then it is an older woman. The younger one often can't seem to wait until he dies in most cases.

Of course there are exceptions to the general rule, but at least that is the overall trend I could observe.

As usual, JP, the massive mangina, is wrong. Correlation does not imply causation. If you ALREADY have no soul (no conscious mental life) then you may or may not have lots of sex partners.

With no soul, you might chase La Dolce Vita party highs. With no soul, you might be married and divorced 3 times, have no other promiscuity, worship women and be a broken shell of a man. With no soul, you might be a careerist academic psychologist that gets married, worships attractive women, and tells other people what to do based on poor statistical reasoning.

If you have a mental life, depth, and a soul, then casual sex is seen for what it is: immaterial.

I respect and agree with much of what JP has to say about the psyche, but he characterizes MGTOW as dysfunctional, saying that it only focuses on the evil that women do, ignoring the positive, “sacred feminine”.

He further goes on to say that without an intimate relationship with a woman and a long, consistent narrative, that we are doomed to have an incomplete damaged psyche that is immature.

I fail to see how this can be true. A strong group of good lifelong male friends seems like a perfectly adequate substitute.
