I did notice something very odd about facebook when I signed up years ago. People did a much better job of putting up photos that made them look better there than on OkCupid. I don't know if that is true now.

Something that I always marveled at was that when I was in college, none of the girls seemed to have the price of a box of stove top stuffing, but they all had a stack of professionally done glamor shots. This was, of course, long before there was an Internet, but it seems that some things never change. I suppose they kiss mirrors as well.

My ex did that...used a photo from when she was around 21 or 22. Shes 45 ...hooked up with a 28 yr old douchebag who thinks hes found a "cool chick". Its always good to give your used things to the less fortunate

I have experienced this many times too. I even once met a girl who used a photo of a completely different girl thinking I would not notice.

The last time I encountered it was shortly before I gave up on dating. I had found a girl online. We wrote, talked on the phone. We had enough of a click to warrant a date.

As I was looking through her profile one last time I noticed all of her photos were at least 5 years old. I sent her a photo of me I had just taken and asked her if she could send me a recent photo too. Of course she refused.

I knew enough and blatantly told her I don't find fat girls attractive.
