You know the Marines seems an odd organization to join if you dislike men and have a bunch of feminist rhetoric to babble about.

Makes me think they only reason she joined was so she could parlay it into a political campaign one day as being a feminist, but a former marine, to try and run on that type of ticket.

Last i checked the Marines job was to kill people and blow things up. It's one of the least funded groups that are some of the first to hit the ground and get all blowed up real good. I didn't realize it was a safe space to deal with your feelings and how you can't blossom as a woman spirit-warrior, but apparently I am wrong.

She's getting special treatment and she doesn't even realise it. I was in the Marine Corps from '03 - '07 active, and then some reserve stuff after that. I GOT SEXUALLY HARASSED EVERY SINGLE DAY, and I didn't go and cry about it because it's just part of the institution. In training our instructors used to threaten to "break us down shotgun style." The implication being that we were going to get "breech loaded". We were called faggots and bitches on the reg. No big deal, they were just toughening us up. Mental toughness is a huge part of the Corps' training regimen.

When I hit the fleet our sergeant's go to threat was to "stomp our nuts" for any screw-ups. My ass was grabbed regularly by my peers - Just like locker room hijinks. My corporal used to cheer us up my getting uncomfortably close to your face and then asking in a low voice, "you wanna bump tips later?" It would make someone laugh EVERY FUCKING TIME. I don't know how that joke never got old. One dude in my platoon used to ask us, "how are you doing today? How are the boys?" And then proceed to cup check you. He was the only dude who ever really was a habitual line crosser and I put him in check once and then we were good after that.

My point being, that everyone in the Marine Corps gets harassed (sexually and otherwise) every single day. And 95% of people don't give a shit. It's part of the job. One time during a barracks inspection our sergeant major was going through rooms and we're all standing at parade rest outside our rooms not flinching because we knew better. Two dudes across the hall decide to prank me by pantsing me when the sergeant major is close by inside a room. I don't move and just stand there hanging dong at parade rest because I'm salty and don't really give a fuck. My corporal walks out of a room and sees me with my pants down, storms over to me, and quietly (so as not to draw attention from the Sgt Maj) says to me, "annon, pull your God damn pants up." I reply, "Corporal, I didn't pull them down, so it's not my responsibility to pull them up." I'm gonna get in trouble for this, but I'm already in trouble so fuck it, go for gold right? He then quietly orders the two dudes on either side of me to pull my pants up. Not the ones that pantsed me, but he was just guessing who was guiltly. Anyway these two dudes re-secure my pants like 2 fucking seconds before the Sgt Maj walks back into the hallway and just death glares my direction because his schenanigans radar is going off, but he finishes the inspection without saying anything.

I'm getting sidetracked with my stories but I learned the difference between female and male marines late in my enlistment when I got moved to a unit in California. They had a lot of females and they were God damn princesses by comparison. Treat the males however you want, but look at a female wrong and you're being brought up on charges. I bet this chick was treated twice maybe thrice as good as any of the males she served with, but she still fucking bitching because she, well, she's a pussy... Short and simple.

Anyway, I have more stories but this comment is already getting way long. I can guarantee you that the woman in this article was treated poorly, but I can also guarantee you that she was still treated twice as well as any other male. AWALT.

If we keep going down this road of coddling on sexual harassment, there won't be any men left in any of the armed services. A lot of men are getting railroaded out and there are a lot of bystanders who are looking to get out.

"Men show their masculinity by joining the army"? No they are usually drafted into the army and others do it to support their families. Some men can like risky activities but joining the military especially the marines, where you can be killed while fighting doesn't seem so realistic. BTW the solution to all the problems she mentioned-draft women as well. DONE.

This is the shit that happened in that "scandal"

Two hoe-ass Wookiees posted provocative/sexual pictures on instagram/social media. We all know that when a pic makes it to IG/FB/or whatever social media outlet, it is in the public domain. Keep that in the backs of your brains for a minute. These pictures made it into a closed group. Then these Wookiees cry foul when they get(multiple) undesirable responses to their respective pics. Neither one of them ever thought that taking these naked/sexually explicit pics would ever have any negative consequences. I guess it's all about just living in the moment. Now the Marine Corps is in the situation it's in because Wookiees want to be stupid and want special treatment for their stupid behavior. It's bullshit.

One of the "victims" got in trouble for having an underage DUI where she nearly killed herself. She is also shameless in her whoredom. She still posts up racy pics on her IG after the fact. It's like when the duke lacrosse "victim" had a pregnancy come to term from her actions from a few days after the incident.

I don't even have to read the rolling stone article to know that they're completely off base with any of their accusations. Just like the rape hoax they perpetuated a few years ago.
