Make no mistake, I wouldn't change a thing. Married at 31 to a woman 7 years my junior, 7 children over ten years. First red flag that I blew right by was that nothing was her fault. Second was that she was always the Victim. Note the capital 'V'. As the Victim she needed a designated perp. Guess who? But the shit really started to fly out of the goose after I was laid off courtesy of being H1B'd. We had to sell our home at the absolute bottom of the market and walked away with nothing. Her new friends from work told her that she should get rid of me and she did. My ex had a gift. It wasn't a good gift, but it was definitely a gift. She did an absolutely wonderful job of convincing herself and those that she wanted to convince of whatever she wanted. Thus our mutual friends became convinced that I was a monster. She filed two restraining orders against me... the second one stuck... and forced me from our home, keeping the four youngest. I love my children, all I ever wanted to be in life was a father, and losing them was indescribable. So when she divorced me we had no home, and I had no job. So no separation of property and no alimony.

Whoops.

At about the same time I was discovered to suffer from lattice degeneration and declared disabled by the doctors so when she sued for child support it was denied.

Double whoops.

A couple of years later she takes up with a piece of shit and known pedophile and loses custody of our children to me.

Triple whoops. And she is ordered to pay child support.

So now my baby is almost 18, in JROTC, and off to the Navy in December. She lives in a shitty RV in a shitty park with her unemployed pervi penis, alienated from our children, never seeing our grandchildren, watching her unpaid child support pile up as she dodges the DA.

I guess kinda sort of happy endings are possible.
