To be totally fair to her, the work wife/work husband thing always struck me as gallows humor used by people with really intense 60+ hours a week careers. The lawyer who sees his secretary more than his wife, etc.

Now, this begs the question of just how intense these anchor jobs are. I assume there's a practice/makeup session and meetings to go to, but are these people really as busy as a surgeon or somesuch?
