The question's a good one and I share the sentiment. The feminists will complain ad nauseu / ad infinitum about trivial American / Canadian / Euro issues and ignore real suffering.

More pro-lifer garbage. Not every life is precious and blessed. 99% of humanity is the result of bad decision making skills or too much hubris. Criticize the one child policy as much as you want, at least China actually took steps to correct a shitty situation. Which, if memory serves was meant to be a one-generation solution until a more viable alternative could be found.

The part no one will talk about is how the basics of supply and demand are still relevant to populations. The less women there are, the more power they will inherently have as they become increasingly commodified by their proportionate rarity. They will be elevated on even higher pedestals and allowed to be even pickier because of it. Even the ugly ones will find many more potential suitors than you're average purple haired tub-o-lard here in the west as more and more men are desperate to preserve their "legacy".
