Work BS | MGTOW

So I got my second write up. Both were for missing mandatory conference calls on what happened to be my days off. They came up with this out of the blue. I'm a busy guy, I do work on the side and I don't always have time for that crap. Anybody whose non-phone sales are lower than 12% of their sales must attend apparently. If it happens again they are threatening me with termination.

Now, I schedule this side job two or three weeks out. I explained this. She says, "But you get paid for it, I just call in and lay in bed and we get paid for it". What? What the fuck? I told her in the future I'll be able to do them because I'll know in advance. She writes me up anyway.

Unbeknownst to her, because she knows nothing about the industry despite having worked in it for some years, sales on those extra items are down industry wide, nation wide. I've worked in it for months.

I started to defend myself, but I started to say retarded shit so I kept my mouth shut for now. Obviously I need to remove myself from this situation.

The whole company is a train wreck. Of our three computers, 2 can't run sales and the one that works payment has to be entered manually and may fail at any time. Our product selection available in store is pathetic. Half of our demos aren't live, and half do not work. They won't stock boosters despite boosters selling super well in our area, the competition stocks them.

I can't decide what their deal is. Are they just idiots? Has the company been infiltrated by sabateurs? Did I fucking die and wake up in bizarro fucking world? I get complimented by customers all the time, but I don't think they want somebody like me in there. They want useful idiots that will do whatever it takes to sell shit while they preach integrity. It disgusts me.

I've heard that a couple times, but the interesting part is I get it from the people that create the negative environment. It's part of the manipulation. Understanding it only grants me the power to walk away from it. Reacting negatively returns a negative to me, reacting positively is a lie that I cannot stomach. So, my thought is to try to maintain indifference and use that negative energy as a fuel source to drive me to the next opportunity. Then I'll part on the most positive grounds I can muster.

Hopefully I come up with something better than "fuck you". It'll probably be more like, "I appreciate the opportunity to work with such talented and successful people, etc., etc.,"

It annoys me that I have to behave like I'm in a medieval court, constantly scheming and positioning. A lot of folks think we've evolved beyond that; yet, clearly it is not true. There is no peace.

I came to the same conclusion, even though I'm good at the old school style. I had this ignorant idea of what sales used to be. You know, back when you could actually stand behind a product or service because they were actually solid. The experience has been priceless though. It has helped cement many if my beliefs, and I gained and sharpened a new set if skills. I didn't have to participate on the level they wanted to hone the concepts.

I sell the shit out of accessories just to show that I can sell. I don't feel bad, because everybody knows those are overpriced. I can understand how the system can wear weaker minded folk down. I've heard stories of people turning away sales so their numbers don't get skewed, or begging for tablet sales because their jobs are being threatened. It's sad.

I told the last manager before she left that I know more than her so I can't sell like she does, because it would be lying and break the company's bs sales creed. "The burden if knowledge," I called it. Lol She was a young 21 year old. She was a better manager because the other guy and I were able to counter the manipulations of the higher ups with her.

This one is more my age and she thinks she knows shit because she popped a kid out and has "responsibilities", yet doesn't respect anyone else's responsibilities. Imagine that.

We can keep up the good fight. I find it amusing when they threaten to fire me over missing a call, especially when I am interested in and read information far above what they have to offer in my free time. I could just call in and not pay attention, but I have a serious problem with people that just go through the motions to appease others and I hate busy work. In the end I'm going to do that, but I will not remain in a hypocritical condition for long.

They misunderstand and misuse the information, and they expect it to work like a switch. As if there is some magical process you can use to sway every customer that walks in the door. That's a fantasy. I do strive to improve my process, but every customer is different so it takes time. The difference between them and I is that my gains are built upon actual integrity, while theirs are built on bs behind a front of integrity.

My technique may grow slower, but it will last longer and burn brighter in the long run.

Indeed. They let me go because I wouldn't take part in their silly conference calls outside of my scheduled hours. They did pay for the hour they took, but that wasn't the point.

The subject matter was several tiers behind where I'm at, and I wasn't about to give them anything that would help them. When I realized they won't even consider stocking a cell booster knowing they sell fairly regularly I lost what little regard I had left for them.

It is amazing what a connection to a big corporate name will do to make up for ridiculous amounts of incompetence. They also made the commission structure less attractive. They've any to pay less and increase expectations and responsibilities? That's not how this works.

What really amuses me are the number of other employees that suckle on the teat of these morons. I suppose it makes sense. If one has no self respect and no real understanding of the bigger picture, they do what they are told and fall for anything. Blue pilled, blind to reality.

It was a good experience though. I made a few valuable contacts there that will help me in my current gig. Unlike this brain dead manager that unprofessionally argues and bickers with customers back and forth and lies to sell things (and fails), I took the long term approach and started building relationships first.

Yeah, it's not good. The down side to rants is that they don't tell the whole story. It was already too long. On one hand I'm whining, on the other hand I'm also doing something about it.

That is what I wanted to know, is this shit everywhere? Yes, yes it is. All work is like that. Ha! Everything has to do with everything.

What gets me most about it is the only people held accountable are the people on the very bottom. Nobody at the top or on the sides (like the it department, marketing, inventory, etc.) are held accountable to any standard. It's shit. The place was a fucking pigsty when I started, chairs falling apart, dirty bathroom, no organization, no centralized sales aid system to make that stuff handy. It's absurd.

That's the other lie we were told. First, the lie of love, romance and women. Second, the lie that hard work is valued, good ideas are rewarded and people in higher positions earned it and deserve to be there. In reality, they just have too much backing, too big of a name on their door and too many assets to fail. It's as if they are trying to fail and can't figure out how to do it. Useful idiots on the lower end, psychopaths and good ol' boys at the upper end. It's who ya blow.

Another Dark Age is closer than anyone realizes. Social decay is creeping in from above and below.
