We won't see sexbots for another 20 years at least, much like how the 'VR' we have today is quite gimmicky and is still limited by all the same flaws of VR 10-20 years ago. What I take away from all this is despite the infinitesimal threat to female power in the dating world, the mere thought of sexbots has received such a disproportionately negative response in the media that you have to wonder why people are so against it.

The answers are obvious; but it's deliciously ironic how much more they reinforce the demand for sexbots by trying to restrict their development.

I would hate to see the price. A RealDoll costs seven grand, and it looks fake as hell. It doesn't even have a warming system either, so it's basically just a formed lump of silicone. Guys who buy them also put 50 dollar sex sleeves in the orifices because the orifices feel terrible.

I would imagine a sex robot in twenty years would only be affordable to a select few wealthy men, and only have a handful of functions. Maybe give it 150 years.

Sexbots don't need AI. They just need some scripted routines, sensors, heat and the existing frame and material used to make sex dolls currently.

"warns"...why? Clearly it's because it threatens the livelihood of most women, whose sole value generates from having a female anatomy, and which is completely their fault. It's been more than 150 years since equality and look what they've achieved...every major achievement is attributable to men. They just want cushy office jobs which don't spoil their skin or butt. Turd Flinging Monkey made a good pont in his video on sex robots: Making these dolls look human-like backfires because of the uncanny valley . Instead, dolls must not even be complete, but might be faceless or looking like anime girls instead of real ones.

as far as the cost arguement goes, if you take say a 7 year marriage, factor in that women likely take a conservative estimate of 30% of your take home pay (she's working), average wage is 44,000. That means over the course of a 7 year marriage you could buy a 92,000 dollar sex robot for the cost your wife. This doesn't even include the cost of children.

I'm creeped out by dolls. That being said I may get a real-doll some day. At least they, look like people and not some homicidal robot overlord in human skin.

Besides, better it does not mimic female behavior than do it convincingly.
