In a tactical sense, apathy towards women is the best solution, because you can always feign being aloof in social situations. Going out of your way to be passive-aggressive, or "mean", May get you into some precarious positions with the 5-6 white knights in the room.

If the purpose of being mean is to make her feel bad, why not get your money's worth. Put her on full tilt blast. Why waste time with half measures?

If you purpose is to have her leave you alone. Just walk away.

I do not think it is alright to be mean to people who have not personally harmed or slighted you in any way.

Best thing to do is to be neutral or indifferent to women if you are not interested in socializing with them. This has less to do with what that person may or may not "deserve" and more to do with how you carry yourself as a person.

On a more cynical and practical note: It also lessens the odds of them becoming vindictive and badmouthing you behind your back or exploding in your face because you hurt her fee-fee's.
