Hello all! Just wanted to say thanks for all the posts over the years. Graduating from High School in a few months (currently 17), been MGTOW since the beginning. Avoiding all the social bullshit has allowed me to already begin working at a local company, developing solutions to implement free WiFi in the city of Pittsburgh.
Also avoiding the dating game and the other various time and money consuming activities involved with a relationship, I've saved up enough cash to have a comfortable savings account, and with that money, the day I graduate instead of attending a graduation ceremony I'll be boarding a plane to Svalbard, which is the closest civilized city to the North Pole, which I hope is just the beginning of my travels.
All around, MGTOW has allowed me to explore so much of my interest in computers, I had an addition built to give me more space to work with what I love. All while being so happy - no worries about social plans, which quite honestly seem so silly and irreverent to all that life has to offer. (Please note - I really don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, if it came across that way I am sorry, just trying to show all the good that can come out of being MGTOW)
However I continuously run into one issue. Parents and others in my close family and friends circles absolutely disregard my MGTOW philosophy, always saying that due to my age my idea of MGTOW is "silly", since I've apparently not yet "experienced" any form of relationship. I laugh at this, because I can see it so clearly how much the MGTOW philosophy is going to positively impact my life, and I don't need to get burned to know what the pain feels like.
My parents are the best in the world, and always very supportive, but the conversation does come up every once and a while about dating, or girlfriends, or the like, and god can it get annoying.
Any suggestions on how to counter the argument that due to age, the whole idea of MGTOW is silly?
Thanks guys - keep up the great posts on this board. Looking forward to reading more well into the future.
