This is what I do

"Why don't you have a woman?" "Well... I was married... once. The love of my life. We were trying to have a child but... you see... I am infertile (Start to tear up a bit). We tried IVF, but it bankrupt us... the stresses just broke apart our marriage... I just don't have the heart to get into another relationship.... Sorry.. I gotta be alone for a bit..." Then walk off...

This helps me out in any new work place ....

Stops the conversation about why I don't have a woman.
Stops them talking to me about their wives AND children
The women think I am a sensitive heart broken man and are extra nice to me.

I then... go on with my day. Running silent and Running Deep....

We need to hate women to justify their position. If we are just indifferent then we are being reasonable and that might make us right. We must be irrational or they might have to engage with our position. It's like accusing an atheist of 'hating' the god he knows to be imaginary. You can't fight fear with logic.

You dont need to hate them, there are a few on this sub that do the rest of just just dont care. Treat them like houseplant, dont flirt with them dont get personal with them.

First, a guy at work has no business knowing how you feel about anyone or your relationship to women unless you tell him.

I do not hate women. I personally think it is stupid to hate a person without knowing them a little.

I absolutely hate a social, political, and cultural system that requires a man to relinquish all of their resources and personal freedoms to have sex with a woman.

Well, I'm being accused of that as well, because I tend to challenge people on the widely held believe that women are the “fairer“ sex, and all the positive and, to us at least, obviously false claims of a nurturing female nature, that were equal and essentially the same... yada yada, you know ehat I mean.

Essentially, when I get asked that question, I usually reply with “does that matter whithin the scope of this discussion?“

If they still ask more, I usually go with "I don't have anything against women, but I hesitate to trust them because of past experiences."

What I essentially mean by that im mostly indifferent, and trying to preserve my sanity. If they lash out because of that, I just tell them to fuck off.

But all in all it's easier to play dumb. But the truth always shines through and I tend to be honest with people who express genuine interest in my beliefs.

It's also funny to destroy their arguments on equality, but mostly they resort to shaming. Can't have a civilised discussion anymore in this century...

Thanks for all comments. I didn't really understand why he asked me this question. I never really talked to him about men's issue or anything I just once told him I don't date. From that he got I hate woman. Now I don't work with him because he works a different shift than me. Again I don't know where this came from. He end with well I guess you just don't like to hang out with woman from the city. I just told him I prefer small town girls to shut up him.

To be honest, I have had this question a number of times. All of my co-workers are married with kids, and there is a lot of discussion about what they got up to etc. Sooner or later the discussion turns to why I'm not hooked up / seeking a girlfriend.

I've found rather than the stock answer of "I haven't found the right woman yet", which leads to them trying to set me up, the (more) honest answer is "I'm focussing on advancing my career, and achieving financial independence". Whilst it's not 100% the truth, I find it more palatable than the previous answer, which it totally untrue.

More often than not, the questioner gets a wistful look in their eyes, and I can see they wish they could be doing the same thing.

At least with that response I can go home to my own place without needing to take a shower first /s
