I think the point for a lot of guys here - for me anyway - is to not get married or be in a relationship with a woman at all, there are no exceptions or special circumstances.

That being said my analysis on this particular situation is that it's important to be careful as the woman might be using it as an excuse to openly sleep around with a safety net. What if the male in an 'open marriage' isn't as successful as the woman. What if she uses it as an excuse to divorce. What if the woman gets pregnant with another man's child and possibly lies about who the father is.

EDIT: Even ignoring the big issues there are also minor ones like the potential for drama, etc.

Funny thing about that. The woman will only agree to it if it's in her advantage.. If she thinks her husband will have no trouble hooking up then she will shoot that idea down quick

most of the guys here, and in redpill, would probably just mock those men endlessly. but i have at least a shred of respect for them. there is a saying that goes "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't". which means accepting a lesser of two evils is a good strategy. the lesser evil being the one you know, the one who's motives you can predict and who is less likely to catch you off guard.

thinking in that line of thought, its better to be in an HONEST relationship, where the women opening fucks other dudes, rather than just sitting around ignorantly being cucked without knowing it. being surprised one day because you thought your girl was a little monogamous angel who loved you. if i HAD to be in a relationship, id choose an open one. i want to KNOW where, and who the bitch is getting dick with, and be someone in the know about it, rather than just have it all go behind my back while she lies to my face. i feel this is the only kind of acceptable relationship, as all the others are built on lies and deceit, cause the girl is getting other dick anyway.

at least these guys know their girl is getting other dick, and have come to terms with it. sexual exclusivity is never something you can count on from women, so its better to be open about it, decide what you get from her, and then be in the know about the fact, she isn't ever going to be faithful. plus you get to fuck other girls? awesome.

the only downside is, unless you can actually GET pussy for fwb relationships, or casual sex, you're just gonna be watching your girl get a train of cocks while you get 0. so you still actually have to be able to game girls for this arrangement to be any use at all.

honestly the best relationship you can have with women is what redpill call "plates". you don't live with her, you have no investment, she fucks other guys and you don't give a shit because its not like you made any contracts and promises. you can hang with her and enjoy her company, fuck her brains out, and then leave. at some point it dissolves and you move on with life. if you start asking for anything more than that from women, like sexual exclusivity, and loyalty for life, you're just digging your own grave.
