"The Crucible" was good for that too. I have no idea how anyone could read that book and come to the conclusion of "muh Patriarchy hurrdurr," the whole thing is a group of teenage girls tricking the townsfolk into killing everyone they don't like to cover up the fact that one of them seduced a married man.

This is a smart play by womyn. On the one hand you say that men are equal and can of course look after children as well as womyn. On the other hand you make the environment so dangerous to men that no man in is right mind would take the risk of having anything to do with teaching children. Then of course the womyn get to have exclusive rights over raising/teaching children and can indoctrinate them with the "correct" ideas about men. Check mate.
