A British multi-millionaire who murdered an escort on the grounds of his castle, did so because the escort threatened to show the multi-millionaire's wife pictures of him with a another prostitute.

The court was told today how former burlesque dancer Ms Georgina Symonds was paid £10,000 per month to be property tycoon Peter Morgan's lover. But this was not enough, as she decided to threaten to show Morgan's family pictures unless he gave her one of his properties for free.

The mother-of-one also threatened to tell Morgan's family how she had met him if he did not go along with her demands, the court heard.

Wait, it gets even better.

The escorts' mother said her daughter wanted to 'hurt' Morgan following the death of her ex-boyfriend, Peter Deem, who committed suicide in November 2015.

Mrs Symonds said her daughter had been in a 'three way' relationship with Morgan and Mr Deem while Morgan was bankrolling her to be an exclusive escort.

But the court heard Ms Georgina Symonds left Mr Deem when Morgan reduced her money to £7,000-a-month, and went to live in the grounds of a castle he owned.

Mr Deem went on to kill himself in November 2015 leaving Georgina 'heartbroken'. She blamed Morgan for the suicide.

'She was trying to do things to upset him, to make him feel hurt but I don't think anything could make him hurt,' Mrs Symonds said.

'That's what she said she was doing it for. She wanted him to have a bit of pain. I said to her "come home" and she said "no, I want to have what Peter promised me".'

The court also heard from the alleged victim's friend Alexa Butcher - whose friends call her 'Sexy Lexy' - who revealed how Ms Symonds initially boasted about 'Rich Pete'.

But she said she later grew tired of him and wished he would 'die'.

'She told me she hated Rich Pete,' Ms Butcher told the court. 'She would be vile towards him and to his face call him fat, small d, orangutan, saggy t.

'I would stick up for him sometimes because he would just stand there and take it .

'She would say: "Make sure you look after my daughter and me." He never looked annoyed or pissed off with her. He would just take it. She wasn’t very nice at all.'

The court also heard how Ms Symonds had started a secret relationship with a Sky TV engineer in the weeks before her death.

Tom Ballinger, 34, said he began contacting Ms Symonds after the funeral of her ex boyfriend and that he had sex with her days later.

He told the court: 'There was contact between me and Georgina days after the funeral. She told me to come up to the bungalow. We had sex, that's what was intended.

Mr Ballinger said Morgan would come down to the bungalow and some things made him feel 'uncomfortable' about being there.

'She said it was hard being in a relationship with someone you don't love,' he told the court. 'Morgan was reactionless. That bothered me that he didn't react. It struck me as odd. Inside I cringed. I didn't think there was any need for it.'

'She confided in me her ambitions with Morgan. She said she wanted to end things with him and go back to being an escort,' he told the court.

'She said she was going to leave Morgan after he signed over the bungalow to her. But the guy is a businessman and I couldn't see it happening. I wouldn't want to see it happening either.'

Millionaire finally snaps

But, on January 10, millionaire Morgan overheard Miss Symonds tell new boyfriend Tom Ballinger she planned to leave married Morgan and blackmail him.

Morgan had planted a listening device disguised as a white plug socket in the bungalow and listened to conversations through it more than 500 times.

Hours later, Morgan, who denies murder on grounds of diminished responsibility, strangled Ms Symonds with twine at the bungalow.

Morgan confessed to two police officers at 4.45am on January 13, telling them: 'I strangled her this morning. I love her so much.'
