The reason why they banned it is Russia is experiencing a population and birth collapse, not enough people are being born in Russia. This is what porn does, it's a depopulation tool. When you are beating off to porn on your computer and not fucking women, less kids get born.

Plus you can use servers located in foreign countries to browse to get around that stuff.

Plus, I wonder if there'd be an increase in file sharing. Not just P2P, but also people sharing hard drives to swap files the same way people swap hard drives of music and video.

It's actually a smart move on Russia's part even tho many don't agree with it.. With a declining population they are recognizing a problem and at least trying something.
