I don't think our ancient male ancestors lived for the vag. It was certainly an achievement to get a nice-looking piece of ass walking next to you and especially to bear your children (men cared about things like bloodlines and heirs back then) but overall, women were kept in their place and not allowed to interfere in matters that concerned men. So today we're not really fighting wars, hunger and disease on a daily basis so our motivations can be technology, aesthetics, pleasures etc. It need not necessarily involve the vag although having some vag and keeping it in its place should also be fine.

I remember being as young as 6th grade and boys trying to impress women to get some type of affection back.
