Definitely. However, I think these days you'll get shamed for living like a hermit, sage, you name it. It's out of people's comfort zone, it doesn't fit the narrative and I think they'll do everything in their power to make it harder for people to live like that.

Personally, I admire the Buddha the most. He went his own way had a good following, no kids (as far as I know and no woman either) That's the life right there. Teaching others and helping them is far more superior then putting your own shit breed into the world where it's not even guaranteed that they will turn out the way you want them to.

We still talk about the Buddha, his work is still valuable he's in a sense "immortal" and I think that's something worth striving for.

Well, I can say I've already been through this "stage" of going shaman-like or whatever. It's cool if you can keep it up. Religion etc. meh. You know what I mean. At the end of the day, at least for me, reality sinks in. You realize life is ultimately about dollars and cents and cocks and cunts. That's about it, really. Then you die.

Yes. I get jealous at some of the people on tv that live in a shack in Alaska or whatever. Id like to live that way for awhile but ultimately civilization is better. Id settle for a small town.

Definitely not. Modern civilisation offers some serious advantages and even your most ardent hermit hopes somebody will process iron ore into steel to give him a nice knife. However if this is the 'Own Way' you have chosen who am I to gainsay your choice? Me? I'm going to stay in my nice warm house with a computer or three.
