I think the current state of play allows a woman to exercise more sovereignty over her sexuality but doesn't really give her any support for her decisions. Does that make sense? Basically, she can do or not do whatever she wants, but it's clear to everyone that the only reason for her decisions is her own will, which can be attacked.

I read about young women, high school- and college-age, who feel like it's simply good manners to take off at least some of their clothes and provide oral or manual stimulation to a male friend when a request is made in a private situation.

This is just getting silly now.
