So many theories.

It's technology.
It's the bad economy.
It's the sex education.
It's the porn.

But the article doesn't go into much detail that less men are having sex than women, which means...80/20 rule..

A big factor will be obesity. And look, women are less sexually active than men, is it not coincidence that women are fatter than men these days too?

Some other observations to add to the long list.

-Instant gratification combined with higher expectations.

-Change in dating dynamics, primarily online/app dating.

-Change in male and female socially accepted behavior.

-Less men in college. Naturally gravitates toward the 80/20 rule.

-Men opting out much earlier than before.

-Crumbling of the family unit as our mission objective. Career first.

It could even be that many women today are simply opting to not have (casual) sex at all than have sex with a man they are not attracted to.

Just over 15% of the 90s-born group reported that they had not had sex since they turned 18 . . . For those born in the 60s the figure was just over 6% . . . The trend was also greater for women than for men: the authors found that 2.3% of women born in the 1960s are sexually inactive, compared to 5.4% of those born in the 1990s.

change in percentage of women=5.4-2.3=3.1 3.1/2.3=134.7% more of the 90s women not having sex than 60s women in their day.

assume a population of about half men. 6-2.3=3.7 3.7+6=9.7 while 15-5.4=9.6 9.6+15=24.6 so the figures for men would have changed from 9.7 to 24.6, a difference of 14.9% of men, and an increase in the percentage of men not having sex of %153.6.

simply put, there is no way for the statement that the trend was greater for women to be accurate. as a percentage of total individuals of each sex, the change for men dwarfs the change for women while as a percentage of those who are not having sex within each sex, the change for men is still larger than that for women, unless my 50/50 assumption was way off, and they actually looked at a population with significantly more men than women (they didn't)

I do like how a lot of people in that science thread are spouting some truthes without knowing realising it's what the basis of mgtow is based on. Maybe some people are waking up to our fucked up society, slowly but surely.
