My last serious girlfriend and I started doing anal. The first few times it was great then around the third time it wasn't as, uh, clean as before and I wasn't really into it. Problem was by that point she was really into anal and it got to the point where she'd rather do anal than vag. Then it got to the point where she'd up and ask for it out of nowhere.

I know, I know, some guys would kill for that situation. But I think most guys who think they would haven't really experienced it fully. Because once it becomes a regular thing it loses it's draw and you start to notice all the bad parts of it. Always having to scrub your fingers after, praying no errant feces sticks to the condom (no way I'm sticking my unwrapped dick up a dirty asshole), ignoring the smells, disposing of the condom which is now a biohazard both inside and out, the list goes on.

Of course she could take measure to clean her anus out, but given the frequency she desired/expected anal that wasn't really practical.
