Hi all,

I'm a 20-year-old software engineer in Southern California. Graduated from university in March. Had a vasectomy last year, broke up with my girlfriend from college recently to go full MGTOW.

Have no real resentment towards women. They are what they are, and expecting more than their nature is a bit excessive. I treat the ones I run into well, and have learned a little about female nature drinking with married female coworkers (from the events planning team - I know zero female engineers) after work.

A key difference between me and most MGTOW's is I'm not all that motivated by a concern for men's rights. Yeah, I think family law in the U.S. is horribly skewed against men, and agree fully with that landmark essay showing marriage to be flawed, but my main reasoning for not wanting children or a family is that I'm morally against creating new people. (I identify as an anti-natalist. For more on the subject, I recommend David Benatar's Better Never to Have Been.) So I end up a kind of MGTOW by default.

Avoiding castration by marriage is just icing on the cake. A reward of sorts for my principles.

My take on feminism is that it gives women more autonomy to be who they are. And women fundamentally are hypergamous herd animals looking for security and shelter. They aren't malevolent, merely opportunists, like most of the Animal Kingdom. Changes in birth control and economies moving from labor to information have given them autonomy, and they're doing what they want with it.

A 50+% divorce rate means a constant supply of women my whole life through. Hook-up culture makes getting laid easier than ever. More career-oriented women means I might be able to find myself a post-Wall sugar mamma. I have a fantasy of being a "bull" in a couple's cuckold fantasy, and my odds of doing that are exponentially higher with feminism than without.

So, yeah, overall, feminism is horrible for most men who want a family and children (though given my moral views, I find this a plus as well, a kind of karmic punishment), and possibly society in general (emotionally scarred post-divorce men likely aren't as-productive workers and probably have issues), but I (and other MGTOW's) make out like bandits.

I can't bring myself to feel bitter at women or feminism, and truthfully, gladly welcome it. I want to live in a feminist world. Society is turning to ashes, and we get to play in them!!! :D Is it just me, or is feminism awesome???
