ELI5 : Why women do not have any passion or hobbies ?

lol, this was one of my initial realizations that lead me to take the red pill years ago. It was sort of an epiphany. I was sitting in my chair when all of a sudden I realized that 99% women simply lack the passion and initiative for creating things that men have. At first I was in sort of disbelief, but after analyzing past relationships, online profiles, and female relatives the truth was confirmed.

One more thing to note:

-Spending your boyfriends money at the mall is not a hobby.

-Spending hours in front of a mirror/grooming is not a hobby.

My coworker sold boats for 20 years before switching to cars. He said he NEVER sold a boat to a single woman. Ever.

How come women love going on boats but never buy a boat? Where are all the strong independent boat owners?

Yep, most women who do have hobbies are doing it for some alterior motive. I've never met a woman who genuinely appreciates exercise or cooking for that matter. I feel like all the ones I see who like doing shit like yoga or mountain climbing are doing it to scoop up a dude, get out .

Ex girlfriend from high school was a softball pitcher....because of her dad who was maniacal in coaching her. Last I heard she got pregnant from one of her next door neighbors. Her dad must have been crushed.

I'm literally trying to rack my brain of all the female friends I have and if they have an actual hobby. They don't. It's rare if they're in a yoga club or running group. But I don't know any of them who actually love doing something that has zero social value to it. Maybe shopping is a very solitary thing.

They have the one passion, that condemns every hobby to a sparse existence.

This passion is to seek group approval and climb the social hierarchy. While man have sex, to just enjoy it, women have sex, to climb the social ladder. It's their expression of their sexuality.(Beside banging chad in obscurity)

I say "Women can not not take part in fight for social hierarchy". Imagine it as desire, that can never be satiated.

As a men I really appreciate the fact, that my sexual desires can be satiated for a few days, which gives me the clear head for pursuing hobbies, intellectual adventures or business. Women can rarely enjoy that silence from their sexual desires, because their sexuality is in large part a means of manipulation. The manipulation games, which are driven, by their sexuality never stop for them.

tl;dr Women can not be satiated in their sexual desires, which express in herd mentality and climbing the social ladder. So they just never have a clear head for hobbies,...

It seems like for some reason many of the past hobbies that women usually did have fallen out of favor because of facebook/instagram whoring.

Previously, many women had hobbies like knitting, crochet, baking, sewing, needlepoint, and scrapbooking. Because many of these are viewed as things "housewives" did, all these strong independent "womyn" can do what is really fulfilling to them: Instagram whoring and spending men's money.

Because of male dimorphism. It isn't so much that women don't have passions or hobbies but because men NEEDED those things in order to survive and pass on their genes. It's a bit like peacocks, the male ones have got those amazing tails, the females do not. Human men instead have this creative streak, partially because of testosterone and a different brain.

Women just got to show up and spread their legs. That's what they've been doing most of the time and it has worked for them very well. Instead of typical man hobbies, they focused on neoteny, which is trying to look younger and cuter than they are to trigger the protection instinct in men. This is why they like make up and clothes. It worked in their favour evolutionarily. Much of anything else they're into is connected to social standing or their sexual value. Sure, some women have different hobbies like playing the guitar for example, but...it doesn't give her any advantage. As Esther Villar says, women decide to be whores around the age of 12.

Men are the more experimental gender in the human race. We may not all be Elon Musks and Donald Trumps but we all mostly share this curious drive which often meant taking more risks, but also reaping higher rewards.

their main hobby seems to be social media and smartphones and the endless self-validation loop that goes with that. And tattoos?? can those be a "passion"? I'm sitting here in my favorite coffee shop and the cute 20 year old girl that serves my coffee now has a full sleeve tattoo. Damn.... why'd she go and do that.... looks like a birth defect

Of the couple dozen girlfriends I had in my life I cant think of a single one that had a passion for any sort of creative pursuit.

That said I have known a few that did. A good friend's wife loves quilting and is very good at it. And my sister is a gourmet cook and is absolutely passionate about that.

Oh I don't know...you see them obsess over yoga, pottery classes, quilting and the like. Women have always had hobbies.

But you're right in the sense that their hobbies tend to not get so disrupted when they do them in groups. For my part (and your part with your woodworking), doing it in groups tends to disrupt the work.

One Hobbie lots of girls gravitate towards is...... ASTROLOGY and horoscopes haha.

Gives them a way to be able to understand the men they're trying to manipulate. . Or so they think. Too bad horoscopes are mostly just a bunch of descriptive qualities that we all experience from a day to day basis

I think just about every girl I've known has had a hobby or interest of some kind. I tend not to frequent social settings, though, so maybe it's only the girl's I've bothered to get to know. In my experience, their hobbies are generally geared toward drawing attention without contributing, namely in artistic fields like fashion, literature, or celebrity. I've known a few who get a sense of satisfaction from gardening, including growing their own fruits and vegetables.

Probably the real question that should be asked is why they tend to contribute less than men, and the simplest explanation is that it's just the way humans evolved. Women carried children, and it made sense for men to sacrifice themselves to keep the next generation safe, so it made sense for men to also sacrifice themselves for the women carrying them. A woman who ventured too far from the safety provided by men put her entire lineage at risk and would not be as successful at reproduction, thus nature would have selected against the continuance of such behavior. We now lack the natural predators we once had, and women are no longer required to cower in the safety of domiciles constructed by men, but biology has had no reason yet to correct their instinctual behavior, hence they continue to behave as if mating and safety are their primary concerns.
