Hello Guys

I'm new to the sub. I never knew it existed until I stumbled onto it. I quite enjoy the ideas and lifestyle choices I have seen on my short time here.

I'm 21 (I know quite young) and just today I have gotten out of a relationship. This was my first relationship and it lasted for a few weeks only. I knew I made a huge mistake the day after we started going out. I started having less time for myself and she even wanted to change certain aspects of my life such as drinking. I felt like I was trapped but I felt like I needed to be in a relationship since I'm 21 and never done much with girls so I felt that I was under pressure. Even it lasted a few weeks I missed my freedom. My personal time whether be gaming or even studying for uni suffered. She wanted me to give up drinking, eating bacon etc while she was not willing to sacrifice anything. Not to mention that I started spending a lot more money on restaurants and take out.

I just felt like sharing this. I know I'm quite young compared to the rest of the sub but i feel like these past few weeks I got a taste of what it was like to be in a relationship. Yeah it's nice to be with someone and maybe I just had a bad experience But I really did not enjoy that a lot of my time was now about her and my bank account started to nose dive. Now I feel free. I can do whatever I want. I do not regret the relationship since I got a big life lesson out if it. I just wanted to share this and I thought this was a good place.
