Hey r/mgtow. I'm a little tipsy at the moment so I apologize if this post lacks the typical degree of coherence, but I felt the need to post my experiences from this evening. I am 21 years old, attending a Canadian university. A house across the street from us was having a party this evening, and after some convincing from my housemates, I decided I'd go over and see how it was. So, I ventured over, played a few round of beer pong, talked with a few friends...that part was enjoyable. I rarely go out on weekends, and I was glad everything was going smoothly. Middle of the party, I venture over to a group of ~8 people standing in a circle, and find out that they are talking about their "biggest fear." I join in the conversation, talk about some random shit for a while...and I don't remember what I exactly said, but a girl looks at my and says "well you don't have to worry about that much because of your privilege." The comment was so unexpectedly weird that I just laughed, but saw that she wasn't laughing back. She was totally serious. Staring back at me, no smile. So I just say, "well yes, I take full advantage of my privilege every day" in a joking manner. Still, she just glares at me. I'm thinking, "What the fuck? I though people just acted like this online, she's calling me out for nonexistent white-male privilege in the middle of a low-key party? Why??." I left the group, did my own thing for a while, and then a girl I know comes up to me. This girl is the girlfriend of my housemate, so I see her pretty often. She's been flirty with me before, so I try to be very neutral when I speak to her (I would never want to backstab a housemate who I'm decent friends with by flirting with his girlfriend). Anyways, she asks me if I can let her into the house in ~10 mins because she doesn't have a key and she is going to go spend the night with Jake, her boyfriend. I say yes. I go back to the house, 10 mins later, she comes over. But she acts all surprised that I actually waited in the living room to open the door, and says that I'm "super nice" and that since I did her a favor she should somehow "repay me", touching my arm as she does so. What the fuck. My only thought was that I'd read about hypergamy, but never experienced it in person. She was almost flat out asking me to get with her, but I diffused the situation. Now I sit at my computer. Moral of the story, I had some really weird encounters this evening that reinforce my beliefs about women from a Mgtow perspective. I just imagined if I was in the place of my housemate, finding out that my girlfriend was offering "favors" to my housemate for opening a fucking door. Fuck.
