Honest question, why are blue-collar men no longer receiving respect and praise to the extent that they once did?

We don't care. We already know what makes civilisation continue to exist. We don't need to thrive on recognition, and we don't have the need to give ourselves a pat on the back either.

We just get shit done and then go home.

Those who aggressively seek validation often have little value in society to begin with.

Marketing to get more people to buy into the college nonsense.

I'm blue collar now. Make well above the national average, and twice the average for my state. Plus I have more developed muscles from doing work and not sitting in a chair.

Check out the brawny man on the brawny paper towels. The old one was a tough working class masculine character with a mustache holding a tool over his shoulder. He epitomized work, toughness and freedom. The new guy is a limp wristed clean cut guy standing ramrod hands on hips like a policeman (do what I say or else..). His caricature reflects authority, arrogance, and weakness. Now, think of all the women who buy these paper towels and how that gets ingrained in their subconscious about what an ideal man is, especially when this mangina caricature gets multiplied everywhere, not just on paper towels. They start seeing the masculine types as unattractive, and the limp wrist man wins the favor. Men follow the women, shave off their mustaches, start looking down on masculinity, and start becoming manginas.

Been at least a generation since blue-collar workers were regarded as having higher status. Peasants want to pretend they're rich, the rich disregard the blue-collar workers, and so the peasants who are even lesser in status, income & skills just pretend they are better.

Thanks to cheap credit many were able to pretend so convincingly they forgot the truth.

The time of reckoning will soon be upon them.

Because more women are in post secondary education and they believe having a degree carries a status symbol. Women want the highest status mate possible and will they will never mate below their expectations, as a result they disregard blue collar workers because they don't fall within their solipsistic paradigm.

Edit for clarification: The reason as to why I am using solipsism is because a large portion of women believe having a degree in philosophy, literature, english, gender studies, etc. somehow makes them better than an electrician, plumber, etc. The whole point of having a degree in the humanities is to gain a higher awareness/ understanding of life through investigation, yet women with those degrees tend to fall face first when it comes to self- awareness by developing their own world-view that has no basis in reality. And for the record I have a degree in philosophy.

Blue collar professions are perhaps the last vestiges of work uncontaminated by the PC epidemic. Its low status is a safety buffer, one will encounter far less women. I intend to use this to my advantage. I have slightly below average dexterity but I am making it a point to be more mechanically and electrically competent. Fixing what was broken is gratifying, its an affirmation of competence.

As someone who has done both, I have a theory....

Decades ago we actually had Milkmen, and the postman, there was an actual operator required to connect your call and a thousand other things. Haven't you ever wondered why old houses have a 4 foot chain link instead of the 6 foot picket they use now?

DIRECT COMMUNICATION is the reason, the honeymooners was a great example of this, A bus driver and his rowdy neighbor the garbage man. Housewives would put out the laundry on a line, and actually talk over that 4 foot chain link fence, and they were married to iron workers, cabbies, garbagemen, coal miners, and all the other blue collar trades.

THEN The mobile phone, and the internet showed up, and all those decades of driving into to town to pick up supplies once a month went away. No more chatting with the man at the Livery, no more trading recipes at the hair salon, or the gossip about who was had the best cuts at the butcher shop. Those social parrias we refer to as women were in the offices... They worked in the factories and they all hated it, because it's actual work!

Well, that wouldn't do... So the days of females interacting with actual blue collar men completely dissipated, and they were too busy climbing the corporate ladder to notice or even care. They needed a degree to get into that corner office that for some reason was owed to them, ya'know wage gap, patriarchy, old boys club or something.

Sure they "encountered" a blue collar man, from a distance, possibly, perhaps, maybe... But they never actual saw one for sure and so what if they did. These girls have an impressive job answering phones and making copies so the Fed Ex guy isn't quite up to their standards anymore.

Okay.. Fuck it... I don't wanna finish now...
