So my best friend left the city a few years ago when he changed university, and every year he stops by to hang out with me and friends in common. He always crashed at my place, and we did all our events there. I'd love to tell how my life got flipped-turned upside-down, but suffice to say that now I share another apartment with a roommate. He's crashing in another friend that can't do shit at his house, so he's spending new years eve at my ex, a common friend. I'd rather eat glass than have to spend time with her, but she already invited me (I wonder what devious traps she got in store for me) and I'm spending new years eve barhopping and visiting friends with my buddies in my neighborhood. I could theoretically stop by to see my friend, but I'm worried that at best I'll have to deal with my ex's lovely nature, and at worse she could try something (not) funny.
