To me, it seems a lot of women want weddings but not marriage. So I just wonder why it hasn't become a thing where they can have their cake and eat it too by getting engaged, getting rings, having their stupid, ludicrously expensive fucking wedding but not getting the government involved so when it goes south, there isn't some legal nightmare and just the two people to sort things out. I'm sure gold-digging is the most likely reason but if it is, that's reason enough to never get married.
