I hate to say it, but until women are forced to register for the draft, this isn't anything other than an example of society giving women ever more options.

Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily. But it's consequence without the responsibility, and that's what I have a hard time with.

If you want it and can hack it then you can die on a battlefield if you want to. If women do hurt our military readiness then we can increase drone capacity to compensate.

I don't think women should be in combat roles. Men have an instinct to protect women, and having most of a unit working on protecting a couple females can be catastrophic for accomplishing missions.

Any women that has concern for mission success should respect that, and stay out of the field, imo.

The only real issue before the 9th Circuit is whether the earlier lawsuit should be reinstated or re-filed...so it won't really answer the question, but it's heading down that path at last. Their appellate brief is interesting (if you're into that sort of thing):
