Thank you for the no BS post. I have many friends who are knees deep in the PUA culture. They all talk about the different tactics and techniques they use. A better strategy would be to just increase their status. They would certainly date more attractive women.

I feel it's important to point out step #1 - be in a social environment. The biggest status problem the software develop has versus the bartender is not even that he is nerdy (which does hurt him) - it's that software development is not a heavily social environment. There is no such thing as status if there is no social group involved. The bartender has way more status because he is automatically in a higher status position due to his job and bars are hugely social environments.
