Hi gentlemen, stumbled upon this sub a few months back and realized that I was pretty much MGTOW since my divorce rape 9 years ago. Have not dated since and have at times been celibate for up to three years. Many of the stories and links here have helped me to see where I went wrong: ignoring the red flags (and sometimes blatant warnings from others) of a manipulative woman who I still went ahead and married.

Posted over at r/legaladvice but no response as yet. You can visit my post history for details, but in a nutshell I’m wondering if there’s any use in taking legal action 9 years after divorce to argue that “Equitable Division of Marital Property” payments were unlawful based on the court documented fact that I left the marriage with little to no “property”

She kept the house, contents, cars, everything yet I paid her for 60 months for this weird clause that no one has ever explained to me. The jurisdiction is Alabama.

Anyone heard of this?

I am also paying for half her school loans that she racked up for four years AFTER the divorce. I’d like to get reimbursed for the property payments and remove the school loan requirement, or at least have them cancel each other out and pay child support only.

Sorry if this falls in the wrong sub. Just figured I might get more feedback from some of the veterans here than I’m getting in legaladvice.
