This is going to be a long post about how I discovered MGTOW and how it has changed me.

I first discovered MGTOW a while back through another sub we all know (IncelTears).

And for a while I do admit that I blindly hopped on the bandwagon, In my mind you guys were just incels with another name, nothing more. Through them I saw nothing of MGTOW but what I did not agree with. I labeled anyone MGTOW as just a fat loser who was angry nobody wanted to fuck him.

Eventually, I started to lurk this sub for content. I scrolled and scrolled, searching for anything I disagreed with just so I could ridicule you. But after a while, i realized that I had to do a lot of scrolling to find that material. I decided to read the "Boring" shit that wasnt IT worthy. And what I found were regular people, having intelligent conversations, joking with eachother, arguing, etc... .But for the most part, you guys seemed to be very welcoming and supportive of eachother and others.

I started to lurk more, but I found myself actually reading and thinking about what you were saying. Quite quickly, my opinion of MGTOW went up and I actually found myself agreeing and sympathizing with you.

It was around this time that I started having issues with the users on IT. I would point out obvious satire posts, or resist when they said the sub should be banned. And they went mental, any thought that somebody who was MGTOW wasnt just an evil gremlin was completely alien to them.

It was impossible to have any intelligent discussion and any slight implication that I agreed with or found your posts actually funny was met with mass downvotes and attacks. They were infinately more hostile and closed minded than they accused you of ever being. Nothing was a joke, and nothing could be discussed.

As I was dealing with being ridiculed, attacked and downvoted for politely sharing my opinion, over here I saw actual discussions. I saw members who loathed women argue with members who didnt. But it wasnt vile, I didnt see the level of juvenile fanaticism that I saw on IT.

So I said fuck IT. I kept lurking and reading. I started to actually imploy some of the things you guys spoke about. I stopped chasing women, I stopped doing things to make them want me. Focusing on myself was the best thing I ever did. I gained weight, got on medication, got a job I like and finally bought myself a truck.

And I found that once I stopped giving a shit about dating or fucking, women actually started chasing ME.

I got into a relationship, and it only lasted a few weeks before I found out she cheated on me. But this time, I didnt care! I just cut it off and kept on truckin' like nothing happened. I realized that there was nothing to be angry about, she was garbage and I didnt actually even need her anyway, I dont NEED anyone.

Losing her and being cheated on wasnt something I took personally anymore, she didnt care about me so I didnt need her. It felt more like tossing aside a stick you momentarily played with out of boredom.

I now have more fun when I go out to bars and clubs! I watch all my other buddies dress up all fresh, chase around girls, waste money on buying them drinks, then get upset when they dont leave with one. Meanwhile I'm only concerned with having a good time, and a good time I have.

So, what I learned from all this was 2 things.

One. The world isnt black and white And while I may disagree with something at first glance, I shouldn't judge it without trying to understand it first.

And two. That focusing on myself as a man first has changed my life for the better. And while I do not abstain from women, I dont hold them above myself anymore. Any woman who doesnt value me for ME will never cause me pain, I dont need them to be happy, therefor I dont need them at all.

I was finally able to get back into my main account the other week (this one) so I figured I'd sub and actually engage with everyone lol.

I'm only 23. So who knows, my opinion may change again when I lose half of my shit lmao.

Anyway, that's my rant/story thing...
