I love steam trains. When i was a boy i travelled on the Ffestiniog railway in Wales numerous times. It was a narrow gauge railway with these cute little steam engines that used to transport slate from the mines in the mountains down to the ports. You had some of these locos which were almost a century old but still pulling tourists up the mountains every day in the summer months.

I was also lucky enough to travel on the Duchess of Sutherland 6233 which was a coronation class locomotive when i was a young man as well. The second trip i went on we actually got pulled by an old class 55 deltic locomotive to crewe where we were picked up by the steam loco.

I also went up north a few years ago to see all the LNER A4 locos together for the last time.

This is the Cumbres and Toltec narrow gauge railroad which runs along the Colorado/New Mexico border. It's a gorgeous part of the country that is far from the more touristy parts of either state and is kind of hard to get to, so not a lot of people know about it. And I spent a Wednesday just driving around and taking pictures of it, because God damn it I can.
