Men let women vote, women voted for big government, big government allowed people to get divorced for no reason ("no fault divorce"), and women started getting divorced by the millions in order to steal money from men. Now men are refusing to get married.

It's because it's a secular concern. Religion just couldn't handle not pushing their bullshit on everyone else and demanding special privileges, so now they can't really bitch that it's meaningless to everyone.

My response is not to persuade you of anything. It's just to answer your question based on my knowledge and experience with faith.

Marriage, generally speaking, to Christians used to be seen as a representation of Christ's union with the Church, e.g. (Christ the head of the church, man as head of the household/woman, Eph. 5:25). This narrative is not compatible with feminism which asserts that male leadership is toxic and marriages are "equal partnerships" where no one is above anyone. It is also not compatible with gay/lesbian marriage because the male/female dynamic is not present like it is in the verse above. And lastly, it is not compatible with wealth distribution in the West because male income level used to help with the leadership part of family but now women typically demand the same pay level though they stay in their careers for much shorter terms.

Once you add in abuse within the church, abuse of leadership in families, and lack of Christian role models in media, you have a generation that still desires marriage for what it can GIVE (financial, emotional, and sexual security) but not really for what they can BRING to the table.

I think all happen when the pope and cleric body many years ago started pandering to women and distorted the teachings of the bible to increase their flock.Now all priests say one thing and in the bible is another.

Because, as someone said a while ago, God is dead.

Marriage as we know it is a Christian institution, with the death of Christianity and its moral system it simply doesn't make any sense anymore.
