Something I recently realized about myself was that I was thirsty for a relationship. I poured hours and dollars into online dating, desperate to find a woman to go on a date with me. The problem was, I wasn't comfortable with myself. I wasn't comfortable with being single.

The truth is, being single is great. Financially especially. Did you know you can save 15% or more on your income by being single? They should make ads that say that. I saw at how much I was spending on mundane activities, food, and alcohol for dates and it was disgusting. My bank account is now breathing healthily because I am single and able to focus my money on savings.

Being single frees up time. Time to do activities that I want to do. Pursuing my passions. All those books I've put off reading I can finally enjoy in peace. I can get back to my model train collection, to collecting more stamps, and to learning more about law and marketing. Hell, now that I am single I can finally practice and compete in a chess tournament!

The single life allows for freedom. Every Friday and Saturday night I can go out with my bros and hit on random bar chicks. There is no guilt trip, no permission seeking. I don't have to worry that what I am doing is wrong or immoral. I can go out there and hit on whoever the fuck I want to hit on, and life is fine with it.

Being single is just so much fun. I can do what I want when I want with who I want. It allows me to be myself. I am able to focus my time on my passions, on my hobbies, and my extracurriculars. The world is open and available for me to go out and find my way.
