First time posting on TRP here, but have been lurking for around two years now. I'm in college and have a weak spot in grammar, spelling, and caring if that bothers you.

Now, I, like seemingly many others, have been identifying more with the posts on MGTOW than TRP recently, and I believe it's because there has been an influx of posts that represent the philosophy of PUA and ways to acquire validation here on TRP.

While the meat of most of the posts are composed of quality material and there is still an occasional platinum post, there seems to be a build up of momentum in the thought process of how to get those one night stands, and who/what to act like to get women. In a GENERAL sense, this is poison, and I'll continue to explain why.

From my understanding, as a young male who is seeking masculine and wise guidance in life (maybe you can relate?), TRP has been about being the best man you can be, not about how to be THE best man. To help explain that point, consider the difference between being masculine and being macho. The most macho guy isn't the leader in a room/situation if there is a true alpha there (no, not 100% alpha, it doesn't exist)) This goal is also built around understanding the hypergamous nature of women, accepting it, and continuing to see the beauties/qualities of women.

We here, as far as I believe, differentiate ourselves from MGTOW in the understanding that women can't be avoided, nor do we want to avoid them because we enjoy the flavor they can bring to life. MGTOW is SUPPOSED to be an extreme viewpoint and can be just as poisonous to you (if you're someone who wont actually be happy without women in their life) as the type of posts I'm talking about here.

And finally we get to my main point. What these posts are doing, along with the MGTOW philosophies, are teaching you how to avoid pain and seek short-term pleasure. Putting in an active effort to get some girl to intimately open up with you (even if that means showing you her true slut side), just to smash her (which is actually more work for you), and then send her packing before you get any real value out of her isn't going to help you with a death in a family or any other problem you are dealing with in life. You're only getting an endorphin rush. Essentially, all these posts are teaching you is how to be a successful drug addict and driving us away from learning how to manage/thrive existing with women. You will only come out the other side of seeking development worse off if you use this good/responsibility for bad/greed/avoiding tough emotions that you inevitably have.

Continuing, TRP used to acknowledge the value that women have more often, differentiating us from MGTOW. To not just hook up with girls, but rather to spin plates, obtain the value that a woman has to offer, and believe me, she does have value to offer... she's a fucking living human organism which means... hard to describe, but respect that it is an abstract thing and probably shouldn't even be tried to be explained. TRP should teach you enough knowledge to get some plates, but it's up to you to manage your plates (also supplemented by TRP) and to derive as much value as you can from them. TRP differentiates itself by being able to do this.

Yes, women cheat, and you will probably keep a plate around too long to where you get hurt from it, but that's when you begin to learn about having balance in your life! You'll also learn a lot about yourself: what type of girl you'll accept as a plate, learn how you will interact with people you are not trying to sleep with when you're fulfilled in the way chilling with a chill ass girl can be, and learn how long you want to keep certain people in your life and how to move on from them. How to move on with your life.

It's an amazing thing that TRP provides for us men alike, let's maintain the roof above us, and develop the home with care. Develop yourself and post for others in a way that strives towards being great, and not towards being being grand. Again, moving away from depression/sadness/unfulfillment/any other problem you have isn't through seeking endorphins, or avoiding pain, it's through finding balance and obtaining development. TRP can help us in our journeys, but think about if the core values are being represented in each individual post and if you are contributing enough yourself, representing your own perspective enough in this community.

My lessons learned is in my conclusion.
