I was reading book of pook. One thing that was written was that you could be run over by a bus and no one would notice and care. I mean sure someone might see and be like "that sucks" , but they'll just move on with their life. Anything you do, doesn't matter to anyone that sees you, they'll forget about you as soon as they practically look away.

Not just that, but any time when you try doing successful things there'll be people spectating, judging, and trying to put you down. You make them aware of their own insignificance or shortcomings. Seeing you doing things or acting in a way they wish they could brings all tons of resentment.

Hell, even when writing online people will feel inadequate because of your accomplishments and will resort to trying to put you down and what not to feel better about themselves. It's only laughing material for you so you read it and laugh.

In real life, people will scoff at you trying to do good things and get out there and make things happen.

The less you give a fuck, the happier you'll be.

-Well, it's kinda different if you're being loud/intimidating to draw attention to yourself. That type of behavior pretty much implies that you care what other people think because you're acting in a way to get their attention. If you don't care what other people think you wouldn't act this way to try and get the attention of people you don't care about.

-But, some people are just loud by nature and their presence can be either intimidating, intriguing, or fixating which causes people to stare. If you're just like that then I think the key is not letting what people think "get to you" or affect you in a negative way. If that's the case, it may not matter what others think if you're trying to be "true to yourself" but their perception of you might be something you should consider. Like if it could hurt you professionally or in a social setting you may want to be aware of the fact that this may hurt you. Part of being able to "control yourself" is understanding the appropriateness of acting certain ways in various situations.

-I'm not saying that this is you but google the term "histrionic behavior" for an example of when it goes overboard to the point of being a personality disorder.

-Anyway, I don't think this behavior or people staring / diverting their attention to the loudest person diminishes the "competition" as much as you think it does. If anything, it could be a temporary distraction to the competition. Like a fly in the room or a bad smell. Doesn't put them out of the game as "competition" 100% but it's definitely a unique circumstance where I could see it becoming a "fleeting cockblock" if we are talking a place where guys go to hook up and meet other women.

I pretty much am always in this mindset but I realized it can be taken too far. Social standing, and what others think of you, are a huge part of who you are also. So keep that in mind
