Hello. I'm new here (I created this account just so I can communicate with other biblically masculine men) and perhaps this has been answered already. Quick backstory. I am Filipino American. Born in California, went to the Philippines enough times in my youth to alter my worldview. Raised Catholic, maybe one of the only Catholics I knew of to read the Bible consistently as a child. College happened and I chose lust over God. Series of events led me back to stop BS'ing myself and truly commit to living a life for Christ. Now I'm at an evangelical non-denominational Protestant church. It took me 5 years to get over the culture shock and from my POV the audience seems to be towards women, not men (based on the language used, priorities, and so on). Priorities seem to be based on reaching people and less on growing in faith.

I'm 31 years old 5'7 at 150 lbs. I lift weights/do body resistance/HIIT and I live in Los Angeles, California. My profession is Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, worked in school/clinic settings. Still working on paying down student loans, still live with my mom (parents divorced), no prospects at this time. I'm looking at $30/hr, perhaps $35 in a couple years. Spiritual maturity: I don't know how to answer this. I don't think it's fair to compare my walk with someone else's. It's not a competition. I attend Bible Study at my church 1x/wk, pray 1-3x/day (talk to God, not just thank you for this meal type stuff but intentionally), currently re-visiting Romans, looking like a chapter a week for now.

Now on to my question, I live in Los Angeles. I am soon to inherit a house from my dad. I really don't want to get married under the state knowing that my potential future wife can legit take my house away for whatever reason. If I can just get married under the church, under God, I'd much rather do that. Is that wrong of me to think this way? Is it impossible to do living in today's society? I don't mind being single for the rest of my life as long as I can avoid divorce.

Second topic, I'm receiving conflicting information on sexual desire. Now I know under the confinements of marriage, it's fair game and that's fine. But for me, a single man living in Los Angeles with beautiful women everywhere I fell into the trap of listening to PUA in my 20's with the hopes of getting laid and now I know how to create sexual desire in women. Even though I no longer practice what I've previously learned for premarital sex opportunities, I can't unlearn things that have previously worked for me. Now in the recent past, I've had pre-dating situations with women where maintain eye contact, make her giggle, laugh at my jokes, pray for her, be a butthole to create sexual attraction. Now in past interactions, she began to lust over me, does that fall on me in that I led a sister to stumble? Do I have to adjust how I interact and communicate with a potential prospect based on each individual? Do I have to completely shut down my sexual desire for her (not a particular person, but future context interactions) in order to pursue a woman as a God-fearing man? Thanks for reading and I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction.
