Is youth really that much of an advantage?

I often find myself interested in men that are 15-20 years older than me. However I’ve been reprimanded by others saying that it’s “inappropriate” and they’re “probably grossed out by someone young enough to be their daughter hitting on them”.

Are older men generally speaking reciprocal to advances from younger women, or is it more just rich eccentrics like Leo DiCaprio? I do get attention from older men if I go to a bar, but generally speaking it’s extremely drunk and sleazy men who are probably fairly indiscriminate about who they take home.
