Let's talk about the glass floor. Women are more valuable than men and that's why no one cares about men's problems.

Women have always been more valuable and valued than men and this is a fact that has persisted throughout history even if it may not seem like it with their historical lack of hierarchical mobility. They have an inherent value attached to their gender that cements them above most men but below the most valuable man, a sort of middle-ground existence, so to speak.

Women (read: females) are the cornerstone of a species' survival (I can't think of any species where this is not true) while men (read: males) are not. By virtue of the reproductive roles of both genders, you can have a thousand women and one man and that species will survive, but a thousand men and one woman and that species will most certainly go extinct or run into some serious reproductive trouble. So then, it follows that from an evolutionary point of view, women are more valuable than men are. If that's the case, then I would wager that the cultural trend of devaluing men probably stems from some sort of biological wiring that would've had to evolved through natural selection for us to care about women more. Overtime, groups of humans that didn't value women and protect them would've died out or had less reproductive success than ones who did resulting in a higher proportion of people who do care about women and take care of them amongst the entire population of the species.

At the end of the day, the truth of the matter is that you only really need a small population of men to keep the species going, so men on the whole have basically no inherent biological value whatsoever unless you're part of the minority that happened to be born with great genes. This valuing of the genders has resulted in a naturally consequential organizational system that reflects both the dating game and society at large. If it looks like a hierarchy, that's because it is one, and this gets me to the point I want to make. People, and especially feminists, are always so quick to talk about the glass ceiling for women, but what they never seem to notice or acknowledge is the glass floor that exists for men. In the game of life, it's nearly impossible for a man to win and almost too easy for him to lose, but for most women, they may not win, but at the very least, they always get to float by. Society needs to be restructured with these problems in mind.
