On a recent thread, someone said that "just shave it bro" is just as bad as balding, and got a lot of agreement.

What has guy's experiences been on this?

Note, I'm talking about fit dudes, preferably above average looking.

I'm probably older than most guys here which also makes it different, but I haven't noticed all that much of a difference, and I'm shaving my head as clean as my hand (I'm not even balding, but going gray)
