We were having our once in a blue moon argument (We’re good now) but something she said stood out to me.
“I don’t want power over you, but the fact that I don’t makes me really insecure. All you care about is logic and emotions look weak to you.”
I’ve always emphasized through words and actions that almost nothing I do is because I feel forced. I do it because that’s what I want or have to do. I spent a lot of time trying not to base my actions on impulsivity but more on rational decisions.
I’m not sure if what she says means I’m doing well for myself or should I be more flexible. Ironically, a lot of things I do for her does go unnoticed or unappreciated because it’s almost always in a context where I don’t lose because of my decisions.
