I made a post a few weeks ago. The post was about a guy who he wanted something long distance and I was thinking about considering it, even though I wasn't attracted to him. I got a lot of advice saying to not waste my time and that he was lovebombing. I'll admit that I was going to ignore the advice. I'm 24 and have never done anything related to dating. I'm a virgin, I've never been kissed and I've never been on a date. I really wanted to have the experience too and I didn't want to miss my rare chance. It seems that on this sub there are more women who have some experience with dating, rather than women with no experience at all.

I did make some mistakes with this guy. I have depression, so there are days when I don't say anything to anyone, don't text anyone and just stay in my room. I felt like it was way too soon to tell him that I'm going through some things. We'd video call, but in between I didn't text him (I never gave a heads up or anything), but he seemed to understand. I was also busy packing to move. Through my confusion about the situation, I've learned that I have avoidant attachment. Looking back, I can see how the attachment has affected my perception of romantic relationships and my 'lack' of interest in dating.

About a week ago, he had asked for a phone call and we agreed on a time. I sent a text to confirm the time and he didn't respond or call me. He hasn't sent a text since that day. I'm now realizing how much it sucks to not hear back from someone, especially since he would always text first or call first. I have thought about apologizing for my behavior.

Before I joined FDS, I told myself that I wanted to address certain things in therapy before I started dating. However, I also felt like I was too old to not be ready, but it's clear that I need self-improvement first.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave me advice that day. I really appreciate it.
