Hey gals, so I'll try to keep this short (edit:failed)

A while ago I dated a guy who would tell me gossips about many of his other friends, what they do, what are their problems and issues, who are they with etc...

but he would not tell them a thing about me.

It was really odd. Once he started gossiping I had my red flag detector beep and I decided to be very careful on sharing my stories with him. We spent vacations together etc, but we broke up after like half a year. On good terms.

Now onto why I think he didn't share a thing about me: we met through a common hobby (historical reenactment) so we also share common friends. And over the years I would meet those people he was telling me stories about (somehow I remember gossips even when I really don't want to) and I'd just casually bring up we were a pair and if he has ever mentioned me to them... everyone were agast and surprised that I even know him.

Of course I played stupid and I never mentioned things he shared about them, so also could they but... he didn't even mention we were a thing?

Wth was that about? He was loyal to me or he was ashamed of me? It doesn't bother me enough to go and ask him, as our contact is nonexistent and I dont mind keeping it that way.

But what is that sort of behaviour?
