Girl. I’ve been living here for like 4 days. This has just reinforced that my man, 11.5 years now (National married because I don’t want to) is, and has always been HVM.
I met him in high school, and had the “misfortune” of dating him for about 6 months. He was my 1st BF, and I’d developed ridiculous standards because of him as a result.
Over the next 22 years, I’d had my world views challenged multiple times and ripped to shreds, and my self esteem destroyed because I dared have a child out of wedlock. (I know, the shame. 🙄🙄)
22 years later, we’re back in touch thanks to the lovely invention of the Internet. At this point in time, my own daughter is an adult, and I’d been married and divorced twice, and in and out of a few long-term relationships.
FFW to now, we’ve been together 11.5 years, and I’m happier than I’d ever imagined.
I found this sub a few days ago, and in spite of assuming this would make me think less of him, it’s actually done the opposite. It’s made me realize the fact that I have an HVM, and I couldn’t be more grateful to all you amazing ladies!
